IF YOU ARE WATCHING THIS JOURNAL, PLEASE COMMENT! I'm just curious as to who actually reads this~

Where I live, Thanksgiving is being eclipsed by Christmas. Almost immediately after Halloween, radio stations begin playing Christmas music. Now, I am an ardent Chritmas music lover. But what happened to Thanksgiving? Did someone hire a holiday hit-man? I made a joke on Facebook about it: "Well, it's all capitalism. They don't want you to be thankful for what you have, they want you to buy more stuff (for Christmas, of course)" But as soon as I posted it, I knew there was more truth in it than I wanted to believe.

The season of Thanksgiving, as in, "giving thanks"-which should extend well through Christmas (and throughout the year, even) - but is declining fast.
While the economic problems we're having are pulling us in two directions- we want to be frugal and save, while the companies, who fear going bankrupt, want us to spend more than ever.

"Can we be thankful for what we have while in the midst of this struggle?" I ask myself. "Is buying new things not being thankful?" Capitalism retorts.

I hate the holiday that Christmas has become here, too. If Thanksgiving were replaced by goodwill toward men and fellowship, I'd have no problem. As it is, it is being replaced by a holiday of shiny new "stuff" and colored paper to wrap it in.

/end sad rant

So, these are the thoughts that will accompany me home during the holiday . . . bright and cheery, huh? I am glad for the break though, I look forward to sleeping and or course drawing! (Oh and is this journal skin gorgeous or what?!?!)

I have a slight backlog of drawings I need to do for people, so I'm sorry I still have everything closed~

-Requests: CLOSED
-Art Trades: CLOSED
-Collabs: I don't know how to do these
-Gift Art: I decide when to do gift art, otherwise it's a request, right?
-Commisions: Haha, yeah right. But if you aren't pulling my leg, of course I am OPEN for commisions. I'd have to set up a PayPal account first, and you need to give me AT LEAST two or three weeks notice.

ALL CLUBS: I try to check regularly to make sure they are active! If you think one isn't and should be removed from my journal, tell me.
